Kielder Water and Forest Park has some of the darkest night skies in Europe due to a lack of light pollution. These conditions are perfect for astronomers and star gazers. Known as the Northumberland International Dark Sky Park it is the fourth largest in the world and is home to the Kielder Observatory.
